The first time I read this, I was kind of short on time, so I just kind of rushed right through it and came away with a general feeling of things moving.
Now, I've actually read the fic and ... that last line! Mozzie! It kind of fills me with glee, because - well, because the first part of this pretty much established Mozzie as the one person Neal can, should and does trust, and although I'm not entirely sure what Mozzie would make of all this (how much he can guess and how much he knows about what goes on in Neal's mind), I want to believe he can Do Things. Not fix them, maybe, but he's on Neal's side and he's there and if that's not enough, it's at least something.
Um. Neal and Peter slowly approaching a state of a not-just-working relationship again was a little like being wrapped in a blanket that's perhaps a little itchy, but still works to make you feel better. I know Neal says getting angry and yelling didn't feel like catharsis to him, but it did to me, as a reader. Neal could stand a bit of feeling dangerous, and of saying what he thinks, I think. (Um, El a bit less so, perhaps, when she's drunk, because erk.)
