Man, I need to come up with better subjects. ANYWHO:

#1: Dude. CHECK IT. I gave elrhiarhodan the prompt "Peter and Neal's first anniversary" and she made it into the most amazing story. It's just a wonderful look at Peter being romantic and Neal being vulnerable and who they are together as a couple, and it's brilliant. And, as always, with her work, it's incredibly well written. If you have not already read it, and need a pick-me-up, this is the place to go. Schmoop rating: 5/5.

#2: Er, this fic is a little bit on a different wavelength - it's a multi-parter from the first round of collarkink that I've been following with a kind of creepy devotion (and by following, I may mean 'OP.'  If you read the thread, maybe just skip the comment where I propose babies & marriage to the writer, mkay?). MAJOR TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR...EVERYTHING. It's rape!porn (dunno if that's quite the right phrase, but that's all I'm coming up with) at its FINEST. It's so well-written I don't even have time to listen to that little "it is so weird that you like this" voice while reading - it's an incredible story, and it deals with mental and physical trauma in a really clear and painful way. I LOVES IT LOTS. Kinky lady parts rating: 5/5.

#3: Also, there's an awesome new comm that just popped up: sm_fandom_kink! Obscure fandoms and porn! I WILL BE THERE. Come play? (Or come!play. I AM NOT PICKY.) Community info here!

Last thing - y'all. I had no idea what kind of response that appreciation meme thing would get, and I felt kind of weird about posting it, but Jesus Fucking Christ, people. I don't think my self-esteem has ever gotten that kind of boost before. I just feel really, really loved right now. Thank you, so much, to the folks who popped over there to say something, and to all of you who've commented on my rambles in the past. When I started to participate in fandom I had no idea that I would get to become part of such a wonderful community full of such amazing, intelligent, and kind people. Y'all really have made a huge difference in my life.

...I was going to comment on the appreciate meme and the only reason I didn't was because I went to the thread and there were all these really long, well said responses and I became INSTANTLY INTIMIDATED that my "You write awesome porn and you're generally awesome and sexy!" wouldn't be enough. I realize that this is totally irrational, but there it is. And now you know because I said it here. ♥?

I've been a devout follower of the puppy!Neal fic on the second collarkink post. I'd love for the author to eventually de-anon and post it all in a bit post, rather than having to unfold comments. I really hate having to expand comments. But I know people can be shy, so I wouldn't blame them if they don't.
