Dear Flist,

How are you? I am fine.

Okay that's a lie but I love starting letters like that. :-) I am - tired from the last few days of travel and stress, but also kind of wonderful. And you know why, dear flist? It is because you are so awesome. I was having a rough time on Sunday night and y'all were so thoughtful and helpful and *caring,* and I just can't believe I've been a part of this fandom for such a short time and already become part of such a great community of people. (Also, it seems

My interview/audition went well - I *love* the woman who's the head of the program. She's strong and loud and opinionated and I had a crush on her about two seconds after she walked in the door, said hello, and started cursing about this asshole she met at a conference. She could kick my ass physically and intellectually - and not that I have a *type,* or anything, but. DAYUM. *fans self*

My back lasted okay - I found a 24-hour place that was selling alcohol (apparently it's just the grocery store I went to that didn't sell at all on Sundays - I'm originally from IN, so I thought IL had similar laws). I took hot baths, a *lot* of painkillers, and made it through okay. :-) Probably the biggest reason I did was because the classroom that all the classes I was observing were held in had COMFORTABLE CHAIRS. All y'all others out there with bad backs know what I mean - they can ruin EVERYTHING. Fancy dinners, seeing shows, sitting through classes - and these chairs were *padded* with *armrests* and I let out a big, mental: THANK YOU JESUS! (And then a slightly smaller mental: I meant 'thank you Moses.' Sorry, my-Jewish-upbringing!)

So the chairs were comfortable, the people lovely, the program itself *amazing* - but again, they get about twenty applicants for two positions (the other program had thirty applicants for *one* spot), and every other person in the program now took *at least* two years off before applying to get experience, I've only got one. I'll find out what the decisions are in April. My fingers are crossed, but if it doesn't come through, I'll survive! And in the meantime, there are SO MANY PORN TO WRITE.

To sum up: thank you, flist, for letting me know I had support and commiseration and love when I was down - it really helped bring me back up. :-)

P.S. So as a big ol' Thank You to y'all (lurkers, readers, friends - everyone!): what do you think I should I write now that I am back to civilization and have a computer? Again, I don't have a paid account, so my poll is Old School!
