And the car thing wasn't actually all that dramatic. I now know, though, that if I have to repeat it I should try to break down next to a fire station again- firefighters, besides being delicious, always stop to ask what they can do. :) Also, I was Not Fired, just out a working car engine. So- silver lining there too.
