Because, of course, Coulson leaves him and then everyone moves into Avengers Tower and -- he doesn't get the invite right away. Because he's a SHIELD agent, and already has quarters. Tony doesn't invite Tasha either, but she's away on a mission or something, and not able to run interference? for whatever reason, but he slinks around thinking its because he tried to kill everyone and so he's off the island, or something. REASONS.
(2) Kirk may be allergic to everything, but Bones gets motion sickness, and the enterprise has whatever cruise ships have to stabilize them but there's an engineering malfunctioning. For a bit. and they're kind of in the middle of nowhere.
(3) While Peter is in prison, Neal sleeps with his old Yankees sweatshirt under his pillow. (for the comfort item square)
(4) Death: Kirk died. So did Pike. And then Kirk wasn't dead anymore. you can totally do something with this.
(5) Keller gets Neal at the end of Season three. He keeps him for five months. Five months, until Peter gets him back. The Neal he gets back isn't the Neal he lost. (for the deprogramming square).
Um, that's it for now, because I do have some self-control ... kind of ... sort of ... oh, just indulge my fantasies, okay??

Date: 2013-06-13 07:15 am (UTC)confession in a desperate situation: Neal is forced to confess that he doesn't want to change for Peter, he wishes Peter would change for him - or - Eliot tells Parker and Hardison that he's leaving them because his emotions for them make him unable to be effective as their protector in the field
dungeons: Hardison and Parker find Eliot trapped in a dungeon and break him out. -or- Clint realizes he feels more at ease trapped in a supervillain's dungeon than he should, which is good since this is an AU where Coulson is a supervillain and/or Coulson is undercover as a supervillain with instructions to not let Clint find out he secretly works for SHIELD. Maybe for the h/c Clint hurts himself trying to escape and Coulson takes care of him.
atonement: Natasha & Clint friendship fic. with Clint/Coulson or Natasha/Steve or Jane on the side totally awesome. Clint and Natasha agree that they will each use their long backlog of vacation time to atone for their pasts, and that they will work together to make up for both of their mistakes. Natasha's idea of atonement involves very bloody attacks on people she used to help. Clint's idea involves retracing the locations of his big regrets and trying to make sense of it all and not dealing with it well and trying figure out how to atone once he feels out the specific location.
sensory deprivation: Steve/Tony, Tony wants to be blindfolded during play but then the blindfold makes him have panic attacks. He's super ashamed that he 'freaked out' in front of Captain America and thinks that hero Steve will think less of him/remember that Tony's not a real soldier etc. Steve is actually not remotely an asshole about it and helps Tony.
parting ways: Chuck/Bryce, every time they have sex, Bryce worries that it will be the last time
culture shock: (sort of?) Steve/Clint/Natasha or Steve/Clint/Tony with dom!Steve with two subs in either case. Steve knows how to be a good dom in a scene but the other two want all their non-working hours to be dom/sub or something similar. He struggles to adjust and worries that he's not doing a good enough job nurturing and comforting/etc. Maybe Clint thinks Steve's difficulties are ALL HIS (Clint's) FAULT. Would be fine if this were Coulson/Clint/Natasha too.
deprogramming: Neal is sent undercover to infiltrate a cult or extremist group, Peter realizes Neal is buying into their ideas and hires a rough deprogrammer to help. Bonus if Neal is not really gone to the 'other side' but is just having doubts or questions, and it's hard for him to understand how Peter could overreact like this.
abandonment issues: Chuck/Bryce play kinky games that address one or both's abandonment issues by finding ways to "claim" the other

Abandonment issues seems tailor made for Clint. Because Coulson! I don't even think you need a prompt there. It's prolly already written in your head.

Deprogramming: Chuck - Bryce is alive, but has been brainwashed by baddies, and Chuck has to get through to him (thanks to his healing cock, naturally)
Mistaken identity: Neal is mistaken for (fill in the blank for any of the other characters Matt Bomer has played). Hilarity ensues.
Death: Jim/Pike; Jim deals with Pike's death in a very self-destructive way. You could also prolly do this with Clint/Coulson. Or Chuck/Bryce. Or Pike/Spock, even (a pairing I didn't know I loved until I read it; Spock was Pike's second for a couple years...)
Orphans: if there was ever an excuse for kidfic... may I suggest wee!Spock and wee!Kirk get into shenanigans. Or, maybe they were both on Tarsus IV, and they are in some refugee camp and trying to deal. Cute vs. angsty - your choice
Parting ways: Now that Clint has Coulson back, he's v. clingy and angsts whenever one of them has to go on a mission.
Loss of home: Post-destruction of Vulcan, Spock forms his own attachments with the crew in surprising ways. Naturally, it ends in sexytiems with Jim.
Extortion: Set S1, Neal and Peter sleep together once, and Neal feels he must perform to type so he starts using it against peter (to get to Kate, IDK plotcakes). So maybe it's more like blackmail... Anyway, then he realizes he's in love with Peter and maybe it's too late.

He's hurt/drugged, things are bad...aliens, lost on a planet, ship damaged, etc. Subconsciously he realizes he has to protect Kirk or Uhura especially but any crew would do. He's reverted to the pre-logic Vulcan state
I loved the Eliot/Hardison/Parker episode. Another story featuring them together would be love. Maybe a vacation on the beach gone sideways.
