This Star Trek: Reboot fic is, quite simply, one of the most moving, beautiful, and heartbreaking pieces I have ever read. I recognized myself, my mother, my father - got hit in the chest with emotions I hadn't thought about in years - all perfectly entwined in a fascinating story, with perfectly realized characters.
