THE ANONYMOUS WRITING FEEDBACK MEME

I know the balance of my LJ has shifted more to rambling and less to fic, lately, but it won't be that way for long, I promise! I've got...eight prompt fills for recent fests and one story on collarkink to clean up and post. So there will soon be an outpouring! :-)

With that out of the way: ...feedback me? I'm trying to take myself more seriously as a writer. (Hurrah for self-esteem! \o/) So - if you have some time, I would really appreciate hearing your feedback! Everything's welcome - constructive criticism, lasting impressions, weaknesses, strengths, knock-knock jokes... (Seriously, though, it is anonymous - so you can be honest!) 

Er, yes, I am in a rehearsal. But it's cold. And boring. Painstaking preblocking = my new mortal enemy. Oh, assistant directing, YOU SUCK SO BAD...

Well, first and foremost.

You are awesome.

I'm anonymous so now that makes this truer than truth.

Also, you're awesome.

Your porn is the porn I pull up when I know I need porn, good porn now.

And I've never seen someone weave together emotion and sex in a fic so well and I think that's something everyone strives to do.

You have a steady, distinctive style that works very well and a habit of aiming for originality and hitting it square on target.

I honestly would have to think a great deal to come up with anything you could improve on. I'm sure there is, as there is with all authors, but nothing sticks out and grabs me.

-Your writing is excellent. It combines gorgeous imagery with complex emotional and psychological situations. With PORN.

-Yes, your porn is MAD HOT. Everyone knows that. Even kinks I don't like I will read if you write them. But honestly, even if you wrote PG-13 or G rated stuff, you would still be one of my favorite writers. Because of the delicious angst and the way you inject a sense of honesty and even humor into your fic. And your skills at characterization, tone, and style.

I've enjoyed your writing quite a bit but the stories I like best are more about a plot than the porn (which is amazingly creative).

I'd like to see how the interaction, the epiphany, the "magic sex" has changed the characters through their behaviors, their outlook and their interactions. Definitely I'd like to know how they feel and think after such a change but I'd also like to see Peter, Elizabeth and Neal see how their partners have changed towards them.

One story that started this was the Broken Road series where Neal began to allow himself happiness. I think that series came closest to what I'm looking for.

Another thing though that, well, it's probably just me that doesn't understand, is the change in Neal in the BSDM stories. He starts out so confident, so in charge and knowing what he wants, etc. and then I can't tell if it's an act or how he really feels to be so unsure of how to please or how to behave and how this hurts him so much. I understand the different personalities but I don't get why he goes from one to the other.

Well, this is all off the top of my head. I'm looking forward to your writing and really, really hope you chose to explore one of my prompts.
