I was going to post-date all of my MMOM fills and just do a weekly round-up, but I changed my mind. Because I am a feedback whore, and comments help keep me going! So this was written for yesterday, and there will be another post later tonight with a new fic. I am very grateful to the family member who has been sharing their laptop with me the past few months, but they have been using it a lot more recently, and I've been trying to write and I reeeeally hate writing by hand. Also, I would feel weird downloading porn on their computer, AND I MISS MY PORN. So I am now waaaay broke, and I hate my new job and want to quit, BUT WHO THE FUCK CARES! I have a LAPTOP! I have named her Coach Taylor, because he makes me feel safe.

And the biggest update of all: my BFF, confidante, and partner-in-crime for the last eleven years, has agreed to move with me to TinyTown. We're going to get an apartment and she'll bring her cats (who are adorable and hate me) and watch slashy movies together and bitch about politics and complain about how tiny TinyTown is - everything seems not nearly as scary, because she'll be there.

So! I am going to go download porn and catch up on my huge backlog of emails/flist posts - if I miss something of yours in the shuffle, I AM SO SORRY! I've been working really hard on Broken Road 4, because I feel like I can't start anything else until I finish it. Hopefully, now that I have a computer (OH THANK GOD I HAVE A COMPUTER), I'll be able to finish it in a day or two.

OMG, y'all. RACQUETBALL IS THE BEST EVER.

Just went to the gym to work out w/ my mom. She gets a reduced membership because it's through her work, AND ON TOP OF THAT, they have a cool thing where if you use it regularly, you get HALF the cost back. And half the cost is approximately the amount of a summer pass for me - so if I go with her (and thus encourage her to use her pass often!) I will get in for FREE!

Also: BAM RACQUETBALL SMASH!

Now, soccer is my OTS, because you get to KICK THINGS. REALLY REALLY HARD. See - I am not a competitive person. Nor am I very aggressive. UNLESS YOU ARE ON MY SIDE OF THE FIELD. BITCHES.

Raquetball? ALMOST as fun. I've never played before, and we didn't keep track of serving or score - but the SOUND the ball makes when you THWACK it just right? SO. SATISFYING.

So the plan is that we will work out 5 days every week. I would like to go to grad school a bit more in shape - maybe not skinnier, but definitely healthier. So that I can find a work-out buddy there and not be embarrassed by my fitness levels. I'll need to get a loooot more podcasts, as I am almost out of history ones (Oh, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME SO MUCH!).

So, because the last time I asked for rec's (re: plays) y'all came through like MAD LITERATE MOFOS: any recommendations for your favorite podcasts? Or other downloady-listeny-things?

Also...I am writing a fic about strap-ons. But my experience with them is limited to one very fun weekend, and the webs can only tell me so much. Last night I read "Visiting Hours" by rageprufrock. And apparently I should still be avoiding hospital fics. Especially ones about parents in the hospital. It is an incredible story, wonderfully written, a sequel to another amazing story, and I cried through the majority of it. If you're into Smallville and haven't read them yet, and have many tissues at the ready: GO AND READ.

In other news, I have officially decided: THAT I AM GOING TO GRAD SCHOOL. I got accepted, I spent a lot of days debating back and forth (should I go? Should I wait? Are other programs that much better? ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC), then yesterday I got into a conversation with one of my mom's friends about feminist interpretations of Greek tragedy and realized that: YES. I should be going to school for theatre, because it is indeed the thing I love most in the world.

You know what else in the world I love? ( TAYLOR KITSCH. )

I'm going out of town today and will be without internet AND 3G all weekend. *mourns* IT IS GONNA SUCK. And then I'll be travelling again with only intermittent internet access until Wednesday night. I'm hoping that I'll still get a lot of writing done, but I will be so behind on reading!

Hello, my friends! (Oh, god. Now I feel like John McCain. o.O)

A few days ago, speccygeekgrrl did an awesome awesome awesome thing. She did a podfic of my fic "Nightmares," and it's REALLY GREAT (download it: here). I didn't think I'd be able to listen to it without wincing and face!palming over my mistakes, but she reads it SO WELL! It's one of my favorite fics that I've written, and she made it even better. So go check that out! She's also done fics by asimaiyat and gyzym , they're all WONDERFUL, and can be found: here.

Then gyzym wrote sick!Neal fic that makes my world a better place. It's called "Out in the Cold," It's undiluted H/C, it has her trademark wit and smooth style, the amazing relationship between Neal/Peter/El (smart, in character, believable), and THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVE IT. THERE REALLY ARE NOT.
